Rashmika Mandanna has been part of plenty of blockbusters in recent years and this year, she joined Maddock Films for Chhaava. She immediately got an opportunity to star in Horror Comedy Universe of Maddock Films. She is playing the leading lady role in their romantic horror comedy, Thama. 

She will be seen as a vampire alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be playing the antagonist role. The makers have announced that the film will release for Diwali and introduced the world of Thama, with an interesting teaser. We see Rashmika playing a physically tasking character in this love story. 

Ayushmann Khurrana is the latest entrant into the Universe post Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor with Stree and Stree 2, Varun Dhawan with Bhediya and Akshay Kumar in Stree 2. Following the success formula of Stree 2, the makers seem to have induced another special item number in this film too featuring Malaika Arora. 

Dinesh Vijan, the producer, has announced earlier, that their horror comedy universe will expand with each film. Thama seems to be a big step in that direction as production values are much better than Stree 2 and Bhediya. Nawazuddin's character also looks solid. Aditya Sarpotdar is directing this film with Paresh Rawal in a prominent role.
